Our History

A decade of pivotal moments has shaped Jackadder into the business it is today.

From humble beginnings in the Northern Territory, Jackadder International has grown into a nationally recognised digital consultancy, delivering enterprise-scale solutions with purpose and impact.

2016
Founded

Jackadder International was founded in the Northern Territory by Lou and Louise Martini, with a vision to deliver digital services that genuinely make a difference. Named after a lake near their former home in Western Australia, Jackadder was built on purpose, impact and a strong commitment to community.

2018
Establishing Roots

The head office was opened in Darwin at the Charles Darwin Centre. Jackadder continued delivering high-level consultancy, business cases and assurance reviews, and sponsored the CDU IT Code Fair - laying the foundation for a strong graduate pipeline and deep community connection.

2020
Scaling Through Change

As COVID reshaped the way organisations worked, Jackadder scaled rapidly over the following years. Headcount grew to 14 and continued to accelerate, with an interstate footprint established through the opening of the Sydney office.

2023
National Growth & Recognition

Jackadder expanded into Tasmania after joining the Tasmanian Government panel. Headcount reached 60, alongside major award recognition, including multiple accolades at the NT Digital Excellence Awards. The business also strengthened its strategic foundations through participation in the Australian Centre for Business Growth program.

2024
Peak Growth & Partnerships

Jackadder reached a headcount of 70, with almost all roles filled through referrals — a strong reflection of its culture. An Adelaide office was opened, and Jackadder qualified for the QLD Local Buy Panel, enabling the delivery of services to local governments and public sector organisations across Queensland, Tasmania and the Northern Territory. This capability was further expanded through acceptance onto multiple South Australian Government ICT panels. During the year, Jackadder was awarded ICT Business of the Year and became a monday.com Global Bronze Partner. Jackadder also deepened its commitment to community and innovation through sponsorship of the No Women Left Behind Conference, Science Week, the CDU Code Fair and GovHack.

2025
Momentum Continues

Jackadder expanded further with new offices opened in Perth and Brisbane, secured major ICT government panels across the Northern Territory and Western Australia, progressed to monday.com Silver Partner, and achieved global recognition for CRM sales. Team excellence continued to be recognised through industry awards and regional finalist status at the Business Excellence Awards.
